The Belton Area

We’re located 60 miles north of Austin, one-third of the distance along I-35 en route to Dallas/Fort Worth. Our hotel is next door to the Bell County Expo Center, home to events which draw large audiences. Some of our guests are traveling on business; others are enjoying recreational pursuits or visiting friends and relatives. The hotel is a comfortable and convenient base for travelers seeking a 100% non-smoking location. Features include a free Bright Side Breakfast® served daily, free parking, an indoor pool and fitness center, free high-speed Internet access and in-room microwave and refrigerator. Our friendly staff looks forward to extending a hearty Texas hello. And, if you’re traveling with your pet, you are both most welcome.

Visitors come from miles around to view glorious fields of bluebonnets growing wild on the rolling hills of Central Texas throughout the spring months. Our official state flower is a source of Texan pride. This was the original cowboy country of Central Texas, birthplace of the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame, now housed in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Visitors notice there’s a bit of small-town charm in historic villages from the mid-19th century, mixed in with beautiful lakes and parks. We’re home to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and near Texas A&M, Central Texas College in Killeen, and Temple College in Temple.  We’re 20 miles from Fort Hood, the nation’s largest military installation.

Hotel Services and Amenities

After a good night’s sleep in a comfy bed, join us for a free Bright Side Breakfast with fresh fruit, hot and cold cereal, bread, bagels, pastries, muffins, and even Texas-shaped waffles. Unlimited coffee and juice is served, and the Bright Side® Market has additional items available round-the-clock. You can make free local phone calls, cable TV, and free Internet access via Wi-Fi. When business calls, meeting facilities and free parking are available. Save some time to enjoy a swim in the indoor pool or a workout in the fitness center before hitting the road. You can pack light, as we provide an in-room coffeemaker, alarm clock, hairdryer, iron with board, microwave and refrigerator, plus a guest laundry.

Local Attractions

Cool off on a warm day at Summer Fun Waterpark, just 8 miles from our hotel. Ride lazy rivers and curvy slides, get drenched, play volleyball, and have a picnic while exploring all seven acres. History buffs drive the few miles to charming Village of Salado, with its mid-19th-century roots as evidenced by 18 buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places and 23 Texas Historical Markers. An original stop for the stage coach lines, today there are antique shops, art galleries, weekend events, a winery, glassworks, and carriage rides. Join us for the great outdoor recreation on Belton Lake, noted for its beauty and plentiful bass. Returning after a busy day, guests find the Oxbow Steakhouse adjacent to the hotel.
